completely agree. Electronics are prone to failure, and the fact that the ps3 has a generally low failure rate is a testament to what sony did when they designed it. However this doesnt qualify as news. Its probably just some xbox fanboy trying to make a point. And failing miserably.

I got something similar when i first bought mine, but found out it was because i was using a step-down transformer with my console as i wasnt aware it had a switching power supply built in (so the console was not at fault at all - i'd imported it from the US). I think that is just a generic error code rather than something indicating a specific problem
To be fair i think their reasons behind not working on a ps3 version yet are perfectly justified. A pc -> 360 conversion (as far as i know) is widely recognised as far easier than a pc -> ps3 conversion, and that coupled with the larger installed user base means a lesser cost and greater chance of profit.
I'm sure when the ps3 user base reaches a level where the release would be viable, they will reconsider its release on the platform - although there are no rts' games on...

the custom soundtracks thing would be great if it wasnt for the fact that the damn 360 doesnt seem to support dlna servers. That means my buffalo linkstation live is useless with it.
I'm probably going to buy a windows home server (the hp one) to get round this, because some games nowadays have absolutely terrible soundtracks. I'll probably end up getting the 360 version just for that reason - racing games with bad soundtracks are horrid.
well, i have to admit i dont use my ps3 for games anywhere near as much as i use it for blu-ray movies and streaming movies/audio - simply because i've not found too many games (YET) to keep me occupied. I did, however, primarily buy it as a games console - the blu-ray is just a sweetener. I know of some tv's that dont accept 1080p signals through component (my sharp being one of them), plus theres the obvious benefit to not having to have separate digital audio cables - but in picture terms i dont see any difference.

just referring to my own experience here, i had a look at the pre-orders i've got at the moment, and 2 of them are multi-platform, which i'll be getting on my ps3, one is a ps3 exclusive (mgs4) and 3 are 360 exclusives (splinter cell conviction, ninja gaiden 2 and lost odyssey). Given that, from my perspective, it seems like all the crowing about the 360 having nothing to offer this year are a bit off.
